The Pearl media (also known as High Gloss) is a warm, satin style finish which brings colours to life, and is especially striking with gold and bronze hues.
The Bright White paper provides a blue iridescence that transforms greys into shining silver and produces a cold and steely finish.
About Centurion Metallic Paper
Chromajet Centurion Metallic premium inkjet media are Australia’s first ever papers with a metallic surface finish, that are designed for use in an inkjet printer. The finish is similar to silver halide metallic photo papers, and offers exceptional image clarity, and brilliant colour reproduction with a high-gloss metallic finish. Chromajet Centurion Metallic papers are compatible with any inkjet printer and require no special inks, or finishing techniques to achieve the metallic effect.
Overseas the photo industry is already abuzz with talk about the metallic inkjet media. At the USA PMA2010 Trade Show and Exhibition in February, it was twice selected as Hot Pick of the show
Rich colours and a metallic finish
Multi-award winning photographers Marcus Bell and Adam Finch of Studio Impressions had an opportunity to get their hands on the metallic paper and were impressed. "They handle deep and rich colours, especially reds and greens very well, which was very important… as high colour images would be where most of the need for a glossy/metallic stock would lie for the work we do."
They also recognised were the advantages of finally being able to print metallic-finish images in-house: "not only because chemical process metallic paper prints take up to a week for us to have done well, but it gives us a huge amount of flexibility to experiment with different papers all with one output device."
