Canon's LiDE 700F Flatbed Scanner scanner gets mixed user reviews
When a scanner is built to a price point as the LiDE 700F is you can't really expect it to handle commercial conditions.
They are not as solid as the more expensive CCD scanners such as the Epson and Microtek range.

Pros: Lightweight, incredible resolution and incredible scan quality!
Cons: It's a very lightweight scanner, but it's not meant to be banged around in a laptop bag, or it will get destroyed easily. So be very careful with it, and treat it with care. Some people bang these devices around and destroy them quickly, be careful..
Summary: Great scanner, 5 out of 5 stars. No cons, excellent quality, incredible scans.
Just be careful with the way you handle the scanner, and don't mess it up or damage it. Ignore the other user that is complaining about quality, it seems to be a good quality product..

The 9000F has a true CCD sensor (not a cheap CIS sensor) and it's a higher quality scanner for personal/business use.
Pros: Cheap. And cheaply built apparently.
Cons: Piece of garbage. Don't get it. After a few months of light use, stripes start to appear on images when scanning negatives.
The menu mentions nothing about what maintenance to take or any preventive measure.
Lots of complaints on google.
Summary: Cheap, but problems appear only aftre a few months of light use. GARBAGE product. COMPLETE waste of money. What a scam from CanoScan. Should call itself CanNOTScan.
