Fuji-Xerox Phaser 8560 Solid Ink Printer
Solid Ink printers melt sold blocks on ink onto the page. They have no toner or ink cartridges. Just solid blocks that get totally melted.

Much less waste.
Fewer replaceable units. Less to throw away.
Think you’re done with a consumable when it needs to be replaced? Not with laser / LED devices.
When a laser printer runs out of ink, you’re still left with big, bulky print cartridges that need to be disposed. Not to mention other items such as fusers, fuser oil and imaging units.
Solid ink printers, on the other hand, utilize compact solid ink sticks with no casings. So when you run out of ink, there’s nothing left to throw away.
The only other replaceable unit is a maintenance roller. This lasts for tens of thousands of pages, so it only needs to be replaced a few times in the life of the printer.
Because the ink sits on (not in) the paper the quality is first rate even on plain paper. The text feels slightly raised which is the reason people requiring output a cut above the rest often choose a Xerox solid ink printer (Wedding stationary for example).
The Fuji-Xerox Phaser 8560 is a one pass printer which accounts for the speed. All colours are laid onto the drum in one go.
Be careful that you purchase from an Authorised reseller that can offer you a FREE 3 year on-site warranty. If you had to pay for this you'd be paying around $500. To buy a printer like this without a 3 year warranty is madness as any call out is going to be at least $500 from our experience.
Since 1991, Xerox's exclusive solid ink technology now known as colorcube is very a viable, but now it's also an affordable option for clients looking to add solid colour to documents, colour that stands out even on plain paper.
Solid ink prints on a wide range of media, from normal paper to very thick cardboard and it's the easiest printer to use, Going Green? The Xerox Solid ink printers produce around 90% less waste than a laser printer.
