From the weeks before before Christmas to early 2012 our top selling 2D/3D projectors are:

Epson TW8000 (The bundle) The Worlds Brightest 3D Projector with Epson's highest Contrast Ratio (CR). The TW8000 includes Lens Shift & Pixel Alignment (Epson TW9000 projector has the same CR/ANSI lumens but costs more, you're paying extra for calibration 99.9% don't need..).
 
Epson TW6000/W, Not as much performance as above but on normal movies we doubt you'd notice. Even watching 3D you'd never put your life on which one you were watching (side-by-side test and you couldn't see which is which). Save money.
 
Panasonic PT AE7000 because it gets "5 Stars" plus a massive 1/3rd more CR than any Epson projector. This is no big deal on 2D but the Pana has other nice features like 3D depth adjustment. They sold so well we ran out of (our REAL) stock before Christmas! Should be in stock now.
 
JVC DLA X3 has way more REAL 3D contrast than any above so if 3D is your thing this model will not disappoint. The short version of why this is so, is because all 3-LCD projectors fudge the CR readings somewhat using iris settings they can't use in fast 3D. In 3D mode the performance depends on the "Native" or real CR (contrast ratio) so the JVC rules.
 
2D or not 2D? On a budget? The 2D Epson W12  is say 1/3 the price but it's not 1/3 as good, it's great for most situations other than a dark cinema room. Epson W12 2D data projector is all you need to show your mates football or cricket in the lounge room. Just the ticket for the board room too. If you're wanting the most bang for your buck see the Panasonic LB1.
